The Science and Technology Department of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Library is the premier science research library in the State of Hawaii and in the Pacific region. The department supports teaching, learning, and research activities in the physical, biological, agricultural, and biomedical sciences in 29 undergraduate programs, 28 master's programs, and 26 doctoral programs. University of Hawaii - Hawaii Institute of Geophysics and Planetology (HIGP)

HIGP is a multi-disciplinary institute engaging in advanced research, teaching, and service in cutting-edge oceanographic, atmospheric, geophysical, geological, and planetary sciences. We are a part of the School of Ocean and Earch Science and Technology (SOEST) at the Manoa (Honolulu) campus of the University of Hawaii. Our Institute is home to over 130 faculty, staff, postdoctoral researchers and graduate studens with access to state-of-the-art laboratories and instrumentation. HIGP expertise spans the globe from pole to pole, from the dpeths of the seas ot the tops of volcatonoes and extends tothe Moon, Mars, and beyond.
