3D Innovations, LLC provides 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) training and consulting services to both educational and industry professional clients. The company seeks to improve Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) educational programs in middle and high schools. Focusing on industry standard practices, our training program will integrate curriclum with hands on project based learning activities. CAD is also used for design and engineering applications that include 3D Modeling, Conceptual Designs, Simulation, Structural and Thermal Analysis, Kinematic motion, and Rapid Prototyping/3D Printing.

Triangle Coalition for Science and Technology Education

The Triangle Coalition is a Washington, D.C. - based nonprofit organization comprised of more than 100 member organizations with representation from three key stake holders: business, education, and scientific and engineering societies. Triangle Coalition's Mission is to bring together the voices of government, business and education to improve the quality and outcome of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.Triangle Coalition focuses its action in three major areas: advocacy, communication, and programmatic efforts to advance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education for all students.The Triangle Coalition administers the Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program, which annually awards fellowship grants to mathematics, technology, and science classroom teachers with demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Middle school students from around the State come to participate in engineering-related games at the annual Jr. Engineering Expo.  Past competitions included the Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition, which challenges students to build a bridge that's made out of popsicle sticks and meets certain specifications; the Coaster Mania!
