Earth & Sky, the award-winning NPR program in collaboration with the Learning Tree Project, has created a place for teachers to gather information and  curriculum support relating to a wide variety of science topics. Materials include archived broadcasts in podcast and print format, science news headlines, curriculum modules, an index of topics, and opportunities for children to interact with scientists. 

The mission of this conference is to enhance trade opportunities for U.S. and Chinese companies engaged in clean technology and other 'green' businesses, and to thereby improve the environments of the United States, China and the world.

This event is being presented by the Hawaii State Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) in collaboration with The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham) and the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative.

Lecture - Biotechnology: Benefits and Challenges to Hawaii Farmers. Dr. Yun Judy Zhu, Ph.D. In this presentation, both potential benefits and concerns of recent advances in biotechnology as well as the roles of different federal regulatory agencies will be addressed. Dr. Yun Judy Zhu is a Research Scientist at Hawaii Agriculture Research Center (HARC) working on tropical crop improvement through molecular cloning and genetic engineering. This event is part of the 2008 Community Forum in Chemistry co-sponsored by ACS-Hawaii Section and WCC.
