The publication of Ethnobotany of Pohnpei: Plants, People, and Island Culture will be celebrated with speakers and refreshments.
Cosponsored by the College of Natural Science, Department of Botany, Ethnobotany Track, Department of Linguistics, and Lyon Arboretum.
The speakers/topics include:
Kenneth Rehg/Linguistic Perspectives on Biocultural Diversity; Mike Balick/Ethnobotanical Studies of Pohnpei and David Lorence/Plant Diversity of Pohnpei.
A limited quantity of advance copies will be available for purchase. The book is published by UH Press in association with the New York Botanical Garden.
