Students and teachers from Wai'anae High, Wai'anae Intermediate, Wai'anae Elementary, and Maili Elementary attended a three-day Animation Camp on October 3rd through October 5th at Waianae Intermediate School. The purpose of the workshop was to introduce teachers and students to graphics, animation, and 3-D modeling. Participants had the opportunity to get involved in several hands-on activities to learn the basics of animation, drawing techniques, and overall character development. The Adobe Flash software was used. The workshop was coordinated and led by Wai'anae High School student mentors,Tuli Leota, Alicia Keanu, Alan Ibanes, Matt Manosca, Fili Mauai, David Teixeira, and student assistants, Schae Nii, Coby Cid, Jaylyn Yoshimi, and Jena Ramos.
