The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Program at Kapi‘olani Community College will be hosting its first Internship Expo on November 30th, 2010. The Kapi‘olani CC STEM Program’s goal is to provide students with workforce skills and transfer opportunities for successful careers in STEM fields. As the program has grown by leaps and bounds in the past few years, so has the number of bright and talented students looking for career and internship opportunities. It is our hope that by connecting students with internships early in their academic careers, the overall quality of their educational experience and the likelihood of professional success will improve significantly.

In order to fulfill this goal, we need the support of local companies and professionals. We invite companies and organizations to attend the Kapi‘olani CC STEM Internship Expo to speak with our students about any internship or career opportunities you may have. You are also encouraged to bring a few promotional items that could be raffled off during the event.

With over 500 students participating in our program, there is great potential for them to positively impact the future of Hawai‘i’s STEM workforce. By partnering with local businesses and organizations, students will be able to discover the wealth of opportunities available to them here in Hawai‘i.

We request that you please notify us before November 18th of your interest in attending the Internship Expo by emailing nari@hawaii.edu. We also invite you to learn more about our program by going to our website at stem.kcc.hawaii.edu. Thank you for your time and support!
