Since our FIRST Pre-Academy program has grown to include more than 50 public middle schools throughout the State of Hawaii, we have recruited technical mentors to support our growing community of RET - E&T teachers. This group of mentors currently consists of UHM College of Engineering undergraduates that support middle school teachers in advancing STEM. They are eager to assist teachers to create/implement relevant and hangs-on STEM learning opportunities for middle school students.
The technical mentors group will continue to grow to include industry and other academic specialists.

People are born with an innate curiosity about the world and how things works, topics which the STEM fields revolve around. However, students' innate curiosity are often repressed or displaced with time.
