Since our FIRST Pre-Academy program has grown to include more than 50 public middle schools throughout the State of Hawaii, we have recruited technical mentors to support our growing community of RET - E&T teachers. This group of mentors currently consists of UHM College of Engineering undergraduates that support middle school teachers in advancing STEM. They are eager to assist teachers to create/implement relevant and hangs-on STEM learning opportunities for middle school students.
The technical mentors group will continue to grow to include industry and other academic specialists.
Check out the bios for each of these mentors to learn about the topics they support:
If you would like to receive technical support for your RET - E&T curriculum or activities, please go to the RET Support Request Group (located at http://sip-hawaii.org/node/1579) and complete the online form. If you have any problems completing the form, please send a message to Justin Akagi via the SIP messaging system.
Once you've let us know about your technical needs, we'll work to provide appropriate technical support to you and your school.
