Strawberry DNA extraction for 7th grade Life Science

Hello RET participants!

This is a very easy DNA extraction lab I did with my students this year.  They loved it, because DNA can be so abstract, but in this lab they can actually see clumps of it!  There is a blank spot in the middle of the lesson where I drew a picture of the test tube set up for them to see.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Title: Planetary Vacation

Use of RET provided Laptops

Objective: Students will be using the computer provided by RET to complete research and develop a power point presentation.

The students will be learning specific characteristics about planets through research. They must then take that information and develop a vacation package to the planet and will present it in the form of a power point presentation to the class. Students must include all research information and present it as a sales promotion.
