The Summer High School Internship Program is a 6-week summer program that allows high school juniors to gain hands-on experience in University of Hawaii College of Engineering research laboratories. Student interns also participate in group activities and field trips to local engineering companies throughout the summer. At the end of the program, participants will share their learning experiences with other students and their families.

- Explore the engineering industry and career opportunities by attending field trips.

- Number of interns accepted depends on lab participation – on average 20-25 interns are accepted.
When
- June 7th – July 16th
- Intern and faculty mentor will determine exact start and end dates, along with weekly work
schedules.
- Interns work on average 10-20 hours per week.
- Field trip and other special activities will be planned.

Cost
- No cost for intern to apply and participate in the program.
- The internship is non-paid.
