This is a presentation describing medical robotics research conducted by Dr. Peter Berkelman of the University of Hawaii at Manoa's College of Engineering.
There are many aspects of robotics that are used in real-world engineering applications: sensors, actuators, computer vision, autonomous software, control algorithms, etc. This presentation will cover some of the potential areas where robotics experience can be applied. Robotics in an academic curriculum build a great foundation for students interested in engineering & sciences. Today there are many good tools that can be utilized for introducing young students to the field of robotics.
