Creating Galleries

Most of the activity and content on SIP Hawaii is generated though the Groups - and photo galleries are no exception.

Photo galleries that are published to public groups will show up in the main gallery as well as their respective group.

1. To create a gallery, make sure you are logged in and go to the group to which you want to post a gallery.

2. In the Group side bar, select Create Group Gallery Page.

3. Add a title and description for your gallery.

4. In the groups area, you can select whether you gallery will be public or private.  Unless you have a good reason to do otherwise, public is good choice.

5. In the images section, click Choose file and select the first image you want to add.

6. Click upload.  When the image is uploaded to the server, you can add a description.

7. Add as many more images as you would like with the Add another item button.

8. When you are done uploading, make sure you agree to the copyright statement.

9. Click save.  Your gallery has been created.  

10. Public galleries will also show up in the Main gallery menu.
